The British Fashion Awards 2023 was a night of glitz and glamour. The event which happened on Monday 4 December at the Royal Albert Hall saw national and international stars grace the country’s red carpet.
The fashionable looks and exquisite gowns at the event weren’t surprising at all. It was as though the guests paid tribute to the former Princess of Wales, Princess Diana. Three decades ago, she had turned up at the Inaugural fashion awards wearing an extravagant white pearl-embellished gown and a matching bolero with an Elvis Presley-inspired collar by London-based designer Catherine Walker.
Furthermore, it’safe to conclude all the fabulous, eccentric, and interesting looks of this year’s event simply showcased London’s high taste in fashion.
At the event singer and songwriter Sam Smith was honored as a cultural innovator. Jonathan Anderson for Designer of the Year; Sarah Burton for the Special Recognition Award, and Martine Rose for British Menswear Designer of the Year. While British-Ghanaian actress and writer Michaela Coel took the gong for the Pandora Leader of Change.

While the event had big winners for the night. They weren’t the only ones who went home with smiles on their faces. We had those who ensured they slayed big time on the red carpet while keeping huge smiles on their faces.
Among those attendees were Hollywood stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Anne Hathaway. Oh did we forget to mention our very own music star from Nigeria, Portable. He accompanied the British Rapper Skepta to the event and repped his country well.
