The 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards came back with a bang. The award show took place on Monday night, with stars bringing their fashion game to the yellow carpet. Hosted by Ludacris, the awards honored legends who have contributed immensely to the evolution and beauty of music.
The years’s show brought different performances for lovers of music to enjoy. We saw the likes of TLC, Justin Timberlake, GreenDay, and Jelly Roll light up the stage. But that’s not all; there was a tribute performance for Cher, who also received the IHeartRadio Icon award for her contributions and decades of music.Â
As for the nominations, Taylor Swift led the pack with nine, closely followed by SZA, 21 Savage, and Jelly Roll with eight each. The awards show also added five new categories: Pop Artist of the Year, Pop Song of the Year, K-pop Artist of the Year, K-pop Song of the Year, and Best New Artist (K-pop).Â
However, it was the recipient of the Innovator award that set our spirit on high. One word: Beyonce. Queen Bey was honored at the event just days after she released her album masterpiece, Cowboy Carter. We definitely agree with the Beyhive that no one is more deserving of that honor than Mrs. Carter.
