The Met Gala 2023 brought stars from all nooks and crannies of the industry. Designers, stylists, A-list celebrities, and influencers all turned up at the ultra-exclusive event organized by Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.
The theme for this year’s event was unlike previous years as it celebrated the exhibition “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The gala honors the legacy of the late German designer who helmed fashion houses such as Chanel, Fendi, and his own famous line that raised money for the Met’s costume institute.
The Met Gala, often dubbed the “Super bowl of fashion”, is very popular for serving memorable red carpet looks. Also, while the Met is a fundraising event, the celebrity-filled red carpet event is equally important, since guests are expected to make their way to the famous Met steps.
This year’s event was chaired by Anna Wintour and co-chaired by Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer and Penelope Cruz.
