Ladies and gentlemen, the most anticipated night of fashion has graced our screens again. Yup, you guessed right—the 2024 Met Gala; the night when fashion is the focus and we get to relish it.
As typical, A-list celebrities from all parts of the entertainment industry hit the green carpet with their iconic ensembles. The theme for this year’s gala was JG Ballard’s 1962 short story, The Garden of Time and stars rocked the theme to the letter.
The first Monday in May is basically a holiday for fashion lovers around the world. The Met Gala, an annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, is one of the biggest nights in celebrity fashion and culture.
Hosted by Editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, the gala is a fundraiser dedicated to New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute – formally named The Anna Wintour Costume Center. This is in homage to Wintour who has been a chair member of the museum’s gala since 1995. The benefit was established to encourage donations from the high society of New York.
As one of the year’s most anticipated events, all eyes were on the red carpet to see what daring, provocative, and memorable looks the A-list guests would be wearing. And from what we’ve seen so far we have a lot of recreating to do.Â
