How Your Favorite Celebrities Graced the AMVCA 2022 Red Carpet

The city of Lagos has always been the hub for fashion, arts, and entertainment in Nigeria. Yesterday, May 8, 2022, was enough proof as the eighth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards went down in glitz and glamour at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island. The event had A-list celebrities grace the AMVCA 2022 red carpet.

Prior to the award night, AMVCA premiered its first runway show themed, “Design for the Stars.”

The show had popular names and faces like Yemi Alade, Denrele, etc., strut in the creative designs of talented African designers.

Also in attendance were ace designers such as Mai Atafo, Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi,  Adebayo Oke-Lawal, etc.

Back to the award night.

As usual, we had our fill of unlimited expressions of style as celebrities and fashion icons donned outfits that broke the Internet and got tongues wagging.

For instance, we saw Toyin Lawani of Tiannah Empire appear in a dress that announced her fashion goddess status.

While Simi Drey replicated Kim Kardashian’s 2021 Met Gala outfit, James Brown did give a sartorial representation of his sobriquet,  Princess of Africa.

IK Osakioduwa alongside South Africa’s Bonang Matheba also stunned us with the gorgeous outfits they pulled off.

And while Nollywood creatives and social media creators like Oga Sabinus bagged their well-deserved awards, AMVCA also honored the best-dressed attendees.

And for that, Denola Grey and Osas Igahodari got their flowers as the best-dressed male and female personalities.

Writing has always been a part of me. From writing stories as a young child to studying Communication Arts in the university, it has always been more than a medium of expression to me.

And then one day, I found myself toeing the path of an entrepreneur and becoming a fashion enthusiast. This made me develop an interest in content marketing and copywriting which I've been chasing alongside my fashion career.

That aside, when I'm not sharing style articles, selling with stories, or creating fashion-forward pieces for Ria Kosher, you'll find me telling wild stories that always come with a twist.
