Coming on the heels of the Golden Globes, stars once again dazzle with their stunning outfits on the red carpet at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. It’s the season awards for the stars of Hollywood, and we are here for it.
These days, everyone’s a critic. But there’s only one Critics Choice Award, where the professionally skeptical get to pick their favorite films and television shows of the previous year. Celebs from every nook and cranny of the entertainment industry kicked off the red carpet in style on Sunday afternoon at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California.
Last year’s host, Chelsea Handler, returned to oversee the ceremony, where Oppenheimer led all film nominees with eight wins: Best Picture, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr., Best Cinematography, Best Score, Best Editing, and Best Visual Effects.
The movie’s July-release counterpart, Barbie, went home with a half-dozen awards: Best Comedy, Best Original Screenplay, Best Song for “I’m Just Ken,” Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Hair and Makeup.
