Before she became the creative director of a fashion label, Tolu owned a boutique. Her consistency proves that she isn’t ready to let time move without her pushing more boundaries.
How Tolu Bally Began Her Journey as a Designer
The journey began in earnest for her on November 1, 2016, with the close of her boutique and the birth of her son. This designer and celebrity stylist owes the birth of her brand to the birth of her son.
 According to her, her son’s birth came with the epiphany that she had to leave a legacy behind; one that posterity would be proud to call theirs. And that was how she created her brand, 2207byTBally. The brand name means 22 July, her son’s birthday.
Furthermore, Tolu is a graduate of Psychosocial Studies from the University of East London. She spent her time in the UK pursuing her passion for the business of fashion. This she did by selling clothes from the booth of her car.
On returning to Nigeria, Tolu opened her boutique. Unfortunately, the unstable economy of the country made her close down the boutique.
However, the end of her boutique was the beginning of a new dawn for her. In particular, she no longer was a retailer of fashion items; she became a manufacturer and a brand herself.
