If there’s one thing we know, every red carpet is an opportunity for our favorite celebrities to show up and show off. This was not different at the 2024 Oscars. This year’s ceremony was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, with the Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel as its host for the fourth time in a row.
At the Oscars, the fashionable moments are as important as the awards and our guests didn’t disappoint. They turned up the heat and ensured the red carpet lived up to its name.
We saw the likes of Margot Robbie in a stunning black sequined gown and her Barbie Co-star Ryan Gosling looking dapper in his black suit. Besides the presence of the casts from the two biggest films of 2023, Barbie and Oppenheimer, other stars like Zendaya, Billie Eilish, and many more blessed our screens. It was refreshing to see the red carpet back to its tradition.
Indeed, 2023 was life-changing for Hollywood with the 146-day strike, but seeing a return to normalcy was great. The Oscars, of course, were not without big winners. Oppenheimer, with 13 nominations, bagged awards in major categories, such as best director, best actor, and best picture. Barbie came in a close second with eight nominations and a win for Best Original Song.
