Want to have a healthy natural hair that doesn’t give you a headache? Use these tips on how to detangle your natural hair:

1. Spritz Water Over Your Hair

Since natural hair is usually thick, it is important that you spritz water over it to make it soft. The moisture will make it easier to comb. However, if you don’t want to use water, use a water-based product or a leave-in conditioner.

 Furthermore, you can as well apply any natural oil to seal in moisture.

2. Section Your Hair

Use a rat-tail comb to divide your hair into four to eight sections depending on your hair density. Ensure each section isn’t too thick so you can comb through easily.

3. Use Your Fingers to Detangle

Use your fingers to detangle each section first. To do this, pull the tangles apart as your finger-comb your hair. This will ensure you work on each tangled strand before applying the comb on your hair. 

4. Comb With a Wide-tooth Comb

Do this until there are no tangles in your hair root and repeat the process for each section. Once you’re done detangling each section, comb and style with hair accessories.
