Before proceeding to the steps on how to achieve a flawless cat-eye look, you need some materials to get started and they are:
1. Mirror
2. Makeup brush
3. Mascara brush
4. Eyeliner
5. Eyeshadow
6. False lashes (optional)

Steps to Achieving Flawless Cat-Eye Look
Step 1
Apply a neutral or mild eyeshadow from your lash line up to your crease. This serves as a primer to prevent the eyeliner from smearing easily. It’s also good you use an eyeshadow that matches your skin tone to prevent the cat-eye from appearing overdone.
Step 2
To achieve uniformity in both eyes, hold a slim brush with the bottom facing upwards towards the eyes, and the brush area on your nose. Place the brush from your nose to the edge of your outer brow while pointing to the end of your eyebrow. Draw a short line or dot extending from the corner of your eyes up towards your brow. Be sure to wipe mistakes before the eyeliner dries up.
Step 3
Draw another line connecting the dot to the middle of your upper lash line. You can make the line thick or thin depending on what you want to achieve then gently pull your eyeliner from the corner of your eyes to the middle of your lid.
Step 4
Use the eyeliner to fill parts where the eyeshadow is still visible. If you didn’t apply thick eyeshadow, then don’t bother filling up.
Step 5
Pull the eyeliner from the inner corner of your eyes to blend with the ready cat-eye. Continue this until you reach the outer corner of your eyelid so as to make it even. While approaching the outer corner of your eyelid, thicken the line. To achieve a flawless look, make sure you do it smoothly at once rather than shakily.
Step 6
Apply some coats of mascara or false eyelashes and you are good to go.

To create this look without hitches, clip your hair backward to prevent stray hairs from marring your efforts. Also, do not use a pencil liner but a liquid one instead as pencil eyeliners require extra layering to get that dark look and in the process of trying to get the dark look, you may end up creating shaky lines. As for the date I had then, after watching a couple of videos on YouTube, I realised that I wasn’t doing it well and finally got it right. When I met my date, after we sat down to place an order, he complimented my outfit and my makeup almost immediately. Guess what I told him. Of course, it was “thanks. I did the makeup myself.” but I didn’t tell him how long it took me to achieve a flawless cat-eye look.
