What are Croc Heels?

Multicolored Croc heels

As the name implies, these are foam clog shoes with heels. They were birthed as a result of a collaboration between Balenciaga and Crocs. The green iteration, dubbed the Madame, features bulbous rubber with a heel on a Croc. The piece made its debut in spring 2022 and instantly went viral, stirring mixed reactions from people.

Balenciaga first created a Croc heel in the fall of 2018 when they released a stacked platform Croc. That year, Demna Gvasalia, Creative Director of Balenciaga, sent Crocs down the catwalk with large platforms. Similarly, for Spring 2018, the artist Gab Bois with Balenciaga showcased fuchsia pink Crocs with pointy heels. Furthermore, the brand also released a steel-toe Croc, worn by Elliot Page at the Balenciaga Red Carpet, turned runway.

Furthermore, they come in different styles. For instance, while some have stiletto heels, others feature platform, block, kitten, spool, wedge, etc. Whichever one you get here’s how to style them like a fashion-forward style icon:

Confidence is crucial when experimenting with trends. And for footwear like high-heeled clogs, you really need a high dose of self-confidence. Why? People will stop to stare, especially if your shoes are bright-colored. So, exuding confidence is a good way to turn the stares into a moment of adoration. Once that’s settled, proceed to other tips.

Pair Your Croc Heels with Casuals

Got a picnic with friends or a casual date? Put on a nice pair of skinny or boyfriend jeans paired with a befitting top or tee. Then, throw on your statement shoes. Writing has always been a part of me. From writing stories as a young child to studying Communication Arts in the university, it has always been more than a medium of expression to me.

And then one day, I found myself toeing the path of an entrepreneur and becoming a fashion enthusiast. This made me develop an interest in content marketing and copywriting which I've been chasing alongside my fashion career.

That aside, when I'm not sharing style articles, selling with stories, or creating fashion-forward pieces for Ria Kosher, you'll find me telling wild stories that always come with a twist.
