Music’s biggest award night did not disappoint when it came to jaw-dropping fashion. Besides the honors stars went home with, we couldn’t ignore their thrilling outfits. Indeed, celebrities and attendees brought their A-game to the 2024 Grammy Awards red carpet with show-stopping gowns, dapper suits, and bold accessories.
The event took place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, on Sunday night and was hosted by award-winning comedian Trevor Noah.Â
Several acclaimed artistes took home awards at the 2024 Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony on Feb 4, 2024. Pop trio Boygenius, singer-songwriter Laufey, and rock band Paramore were among the winners. Furthermore, the Barbie soundtrack by Ludwig Göransson won two Grammys: Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Song Written for Visual Media for the song What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell. Göransson also won Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for his work on Oppenheimer.
And for our continent, 22-year-old South African star, Tyla, scored a win in the Best African Music Performance category for her song Water. She beat the likes of Davido, Arya Starr, Asake, and Burna Boy who were also nominated. As though that wasn’t enough, Africa also had another— though unawarded— win with Burna Boy’s electrifying performance on the Grammy’s stage. It is the first of its kind for Afrobeat and we remain proud of the continent’s talents.Â
