The ninth edition of the African Movie Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) was held on Saturday at Eko Hotels, Lagos State. And from the first day, the event has blessed our screens with fashion inspos cementing its status as one of the most looked forward to entertainment shows in Africa. The AMVCA 2023 awards night had A-list celebrities in attendance looking breathtakingly gorgeous as they graced the black carpet.

The event kickstarted with the AMVCA cultural day, followed by the nominee gala, and lastly, the awards night where celebrities were recognized and awarded in different categories.
It doesn’t come as a shock that celebrities were draped in dapper outfits and made bold fashion statements on the black carpet. We can attest to the fact that the city of Lagos is a hub for fashion and the ninth edition of AMVCA proved this fact.
The show was hosted by Zozibini Tunzi, a former Miss Universe winner and the award-winning IK Osakioduwa. Toke Makinwa, VJ Addams, and Uti Nwachuwkwu also served as co-hosts, interacting with celebs on the black carpet.
And While Nollywood Stars like Bimbo Ademoye, and Kiekie got well-deserved flowers, the AMVCA also honored the best-dressed attendees.
Last year’s winners for best dressed male category Denola Grey, and female category Osas Ighodaro served as major style inspos for celebs as they held nothing back when it comes to servings this year. For the ninth edition, the popular influencer Enioluwa and BBNaiaja Beauty Tukura went home with this coveted award for best-dressed personalities.
