Runway Memories From Lagos Fashion Week 2018

From October 24th-27th 2018, the city of Lagos, Victoria Island precisely, buzzed with vibes from Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2018. Creativity was served on the catwalk of style as many designers wowed their audience with spectacular collections and beautiful stories attached to them.

We cannot help but refresh some runway memories from this event. Enjoy.

  1. Nkwo

Nkwo’s SS19 collection displayed during LFW 2018 was tagged, “Who Knew”. The collection is inspired by “the plights of thousands of Nigerians who have been victims of human trafficking”

The story behind Bloke’s ‘Collection About Nothing’ is an exploration of the idea that nothing is ever “nothing”. It is based on the assumption that absence is a relevant substance.

4. TTYA London

This designer presented classy feminine looks that spelled boldly elegance and style.

5. I Am Isigo

This brand had a unique appearance. Aside the creatively styled clothing, the models wore masks to tell the story behind the title of the collection – Gods of the wilderness.

6. Maxivive

According to their official instagram page, “the Maxivive Harmattan19 showcase had its 43 looks on a metaphor of the society. Wailing through the days and mind of a ‘being’ committed to marrying a billionaire”.

Kiko Romeo’s collection is titled ‘African Convergence ‘ and it comprised the following looks.

As displayed during the event, the SS19 collection of this Nigerian brand is titled ‘Twenty Seven’.

Ugo Monye’s Su-Tan Collection featured “traditional pieces with that formal vibe”. It also included touches of velvet and beads.

10. Orange Culture Nigeria

This androgynous clothing brand thrilled the audience with its SS19 Orange Moon collection.
